GENERAL SECRETARY'S MESSAGE

Dear Friends,
It is a pleasure to present the 9th Annual Report of Jhagadia Industries Association.
This is a compilation of the efforts put in by the Management Committee with the support of member industries in running a Model Industrial Estate.
This year we are starting the 3 years term of the new Management Committee, and we are hopeful of continuing with various projects which build long term value for the members.
An update on the ongoing and upcoming projects in the estate are as under:

  • We have recently started the construction of Jhagadia Industries Association and plan to inaugurate the building this year end.
  • The NCT FETP project is also in the final stages of completion and we expect the project to be fully functional soon. We now have a guard pond capacity capable of handling close to 7 days of the currently connected load. This will help us avoid stoppages as far as possible in the unforeseen and unfortunate incident of effluent pipeline breakdown.
  • The DPMC project is also likely to start soon with the permissions and approval process in its final stages.
  • We are initiating the Estate Beautification project under the able leadership of Shri Alkesh Rana with participation from member industries very soon. We are also happy to announce that in the last 1 year we have added 20 new industries to the overhead effluent pipeline network. Many more are expected to be connected in the coming year.
  • A full-fledged Hospital to take care of industrial emergencies has also been planned, and is awaiting land allocation from GIDC.

We have been working closely with the Notified Area Authority to ensure better facilities including Roads, Storm Water Drains, Street Lights, Security for our member industries. This is a ongoing process and will deliver long term results.

Our efforts on the environment front including pre-monsoon industrial checks, round the clock storm water drain and ambient air monitoring, development of large green belts covering more than 250 acres land etc. are being well appreciated across the state.
I would like to take this opportunity to request Industries within the estate who are not yet members of JIA to become members and contribute their part in the continual development of the estate.

JIA is grateful for the support it continues to receive from its member industries.

I also put on record my appreciation for the visionary leadership being provided by our Honorable JIA President Shri Ashok Panjwani, and the tremendous efforts being put in by other committee members and Office Staff.

With best compliments,
Sunil G Sharda
General Secretary - JIA
